Active in the Community

You’ll often see the Rotary Club of Kingston at local Kingborough events, such as A Day at the Park (held on Eight Hours Day at Kingston Park), and at community gatherings across the region—Kingborough Community Hub, Kingston Beach, the Twin Ovals, Margate, Kettering, Bruny Island, and many more.

We also enjoy connecting with and supporting local youth through projects at schools in Blackmans Bay, Kingston, and Woodbridge, as well as a variety of other special initiatives.

Service and Volunteering

Our Rotarians actively volunteer across a wide range of teams, projects, and services—both within Rotary and alongside our community partners. By working together with local networks and fellow service clubs, we strengthen our ability to support and uplift the Kingborough community.

Leadership and Fellowship

Our Past President, Else Phillips, coordinates many community activities through her role as President of A Day on the Beach Inc.

Pictured here, Else is presenting Lions Club of Kingborough member Erik Madsen—a long-time supporter and treasurer of A Day on the Beach Inc.—with a certificate of appreciation.

We also welcome Friends of Rotary, who support our club and enjoy fellowship with us. Whether through service, shared laughter, or community projects, we value every connection.

All are welcome.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an inspiring program that helps young leaders explore their personal direction and strengthen their impact in the community and in business.

Since becoming an official Rotary program in 1971, RYLA has helped thousands of young people develop leadership skills through camps, seminars, and workshops.
