Thank you for your financial support that enables Rotarian projects
The Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Foundation has supported Rotarians for over 100 years of their charitable work.
Donate
Donating to Rotary means clean water and sanitation. Health and hope in areas that were once ravaged by diseases like polio. Economic development and new opportunities. Your financial help makes all this happen, and more.
Give where the need is greatest
When you give to The Rotary Foundation, you fuel our service projects - projects that eradicate polio, promote peace, and improve developing communities.
With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.
During the past 100 years, the Foundation has spent $3 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects.
With your help, we can make lives better in your community and around the world.
Our mission
The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
Why should I donate to The Rotary Foundation?
Your donation makes a difference to those who need our help most. More than 90% of donations go directly to supporting our service projects around the world.
How does The Rotary Foundation use donations?
Our 35,000 clubs carry out sustainable service projects that support our six causes. With donations like yours, we’ve wiped out 99.9% of all polio cases. Your donation also helps train future peacemakers, supports access to clean water, and strengthens local economies.
HOW ROTARY MAKES HELP HAPPEN
We create opportunities to help individuals and communities thrive financially and socially.
What impact can one donation have?
It can save a life.
A child can be protected from polio with as little as 60 cents.
Our partners make your donation go even further.
For every $1 Rotary commits to polio eradication, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has committed $2.
ROTARY AUSTRALIA WORLD COMMUNITY SERVICE – RAWCS
Rotary Australia World Community Service Limited (RAWCS) was incorporated in 1987 as a public company limited by guarantee, bound by its constitution and articles of association, authorised by Rotary International as a Multi-District Activity.
The Vision
The vision of RAWCS remains:
“To support Australian Rotarians and Rotary Clubs in assisting disadvantaged communities and individuals with humanitarian aid projects.”
The Objectives
The company's objective is to manage the:
• Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund (RAOAF)
• Rotary Australia Benevolent Society (RABS) incorporating Rotary Australia Compassionate Grants (RACG)
• Rotary Australia Relief Fund (RARF)
Donations in Kind (DIK) is a program supported by Rotary Clubs in Australia, which grew out of the compassion and concern of returning overseas volunteers. This recycling and reuse program involves the collection, sorting, packing, dispatch and distribution of donated items to countries in need of these goods.
Many goods and products, for which organisations in Australia have no further use, are valuable commodities in needy countries overseas and in some regions within Australia.
Australian Charitable Support
To facilitate Rotarians’ undertaking voluntary work, the Board has engaged professional support in the fields of information technology, communications and marketing. It has established a staffed office to process the administrative, accounting and banking functions.
RAWCS is not an emergency response organisation, but instead looks to engage in sustainable, developmental or relief projects.
